Wilfa, a well-known player in kitchen appliances, has ventured into the climate control market with a desire to break away from the conventional design norm. The existing products in this series, influenced by Wilfa's kitchen design DNA, follow the typical black-and-white, box-shaped trend seen among competitors.
Introducing Wilfa Home, a fresh approach to design inspired by the simplicity of Scandinavian furniture. Departing from the monochrome aesthetics of the kitchen line, Wilfa Home features products that resemble pieces of furniture, adorned with soft colors and fabrics. Drawing inspiration from the stylish products of the 70s, this new product line seeks to redefine the visual language of climate control appliances for Wilfa.
Introducing Aero – the side table that doubles as an air purifier. Unlike traditional purifiers that often contribute to visual clutter with LEDs and bulky designs, Aero seamlessly integrates into your home décor.
Designed to be aesthetically pleasing, Aero efficiently purifies the air without compromising on style. The simplistic design not only fulfills all purifier needs but also adds a touch of elegance, making your space less cluttered.
How does it work? Dirty air enters from the bottom and exits through the fabric on the front, allowing you to use the top surface for placing items. The easily detachable pre-filter, held in place by magnets, simplifies cleaning, while the HEPA and Carbon filters can be conveniently replaced through a drawer. The use of lightweight and cost-effective plastic gives Aero a smooth, slightly retro look.
The fabric finish enhances its furniture-like feel, concealing all technical components and ensuring water cannot spill into the electronics from the top. This thoughtfully designed piece combines functionality with elegance, making Aero a practical and stylish addition to your home.
Meet BioLumi – an ambient light, lamp, and humidifier all in one. The bubbly shape of BioLumi adds a cheerful touch to any space. Its frosted translucent lamp shade cleverly indicates when a refill of water is needed.
Unlike typical humidifiers that are often stored away after winter, BioLumi's dual functionality as a table lamp ensures year-round use. This innovative approach not only saves space but also reduces material consumption, combining the functions of a lamp and humidifier into a single BioLumi device.
A distinctive feature of BioLumi is its unique water vapor ring, setting it apart from competitors. The challenge of creating this ring is elaborated below. Controlled by a switch with two buttons, one for light control and the other for managing the fog's on/off and speed settings, BioLumi seamlessly blends functionality and design for a versatile and space-saving solution.

The bulb in this design is fused with the translucent middle part through plastic welding. This translucent section allows the light from the bulb to reach the lampshade effectively.
To accommodate the lightbulb without hindering the flow of fog through the middle, a different approach is taken. Instead of a central passage, the humidifier employs four smaller ultrasonic parts and fans to create a fog ring. These fans guide the fog around the lampshade, allowing it to ascend through the ring. All electronic components and the light bulb are safely housed inside the lampshade, isolated from any contact with liquids.
For convenient shipping, the legs can be easily unscrewed, ensuring a flat and compact package. This thoughtful design ensures both functionality and practicality in assembly and transportation.
